No. A Pro recovery file contains a password-protected storage key, not clipboard records or images. It can restore key access to existing encrypted storage; it cannot recreate deleted or missing history.

The current development line captures text, images, URLs, HEX colors and file references. Rich-text formatting is not preserved as a separate capture type.

Existing personal StashPaste Version 1 licenses cover one individual on one Mac at a time. Activate the existing license on a different Mac only after deactivating its previous device.

Its existing rights remain governed by the Terms. Naming the development line Pro does not revoke a valid existing Version 1 license or automatically grant a license for an unreleased separate edition.

Any StashPaste 1.x.x update that we choose to make generally available remains part of Version 1 and requires no additional license fee. This does not promise future releases, bug fixes, security updates, maintenance or compatibility updates, subject to mandatory applicable law.

No. Free forever refers to the Version 1 license fee. It does not include a technical-support contract, personal troubleshooting or guaranteed assistance, and does not guarantee future development, maintenance, updates, operating-system compatibility or permanent download and licensing infrastructure. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.

A future Version 2 or other major release may be offered separately on different terms. You do not have to upgrade to keep using a valid Version 1 license on compatible systems.

No. Tips are completely optional. One-time, repeated and recurring monthly tips provide exactly the same StashPaste Version 1 entitlement as giving nothing. They do not unlock features, licenses, activation, updates, higher device limits, services or technical assistance.

The current development line does not upload clipboard history to StashPaste cloud storage or send it for telemetry. Licensing and updates may use the network.

The current development line excludes supported password managers and supports application exclusions. These controls reduce accidental capture but are not infallible.

Pro encrypts persisted Clipboard records. Hidden is an access flag within that storage, not a separate vault. Temporary Reveal ends on panel close, sleep, screen lock or restart. Unhide persists until you choose Hide again.

Clipboard processing is local. Licensing and update checks may use the network. Clipboard contents are not part of license activation data.
